So now the latest news…

…is that the President and the Congress are “trying” to sell you on the fact that all the problems that we are experiencing are due to the policies of George Bush and the Republicans, and all they need is a few more years and more power (meaning – elect more democrats) and they will be able to right the ship.

They must think “we, the people” are idiots!! It isn’t just Bush’s fault or the Republicans or Obama or the Democrats – they are ALL responsible for the current state of our economy – and we need to hold them all accountable.

Ask yourself a very simple question – “if I performed so poorly at my job that I cost the company millions of dollars, would I still keep my job or would I be fired?” And we need to look at all Congressmen and women as a collective – not as individuals. Therefore, as a group, have they done their job to make this country stronger and uphold the Constitution? PLEASE!! It’s time to “CLEAN HOUSE” (actually both houses!!) Vote out any incumbent!

I love my country.

There is no place like it on the face of this earth. The beauty of our land, the strength of our people, the opportunity to achieve if you’re willing to work hard and smart, and the freedom given to each and every individual by our Constitution make this the land of the free and the home of the brave!!

I don’t want that to CHANGE, as a matter of fact, I want it to go back to the days when we were the most admired country. Not because of what we had (cars, homes, computers, TVs, …) but the freedoms we believed were “inalienable rights” given to all people by our Creator. Now, our Congress (all government) wants you to believe that these rights are given to you by the government and that you can’t speak of a Creator because you may offend someone. That’s CRAP! I’m offended by the government and their attitude.

If Congress and the President would read the Constitution everyday and work to defend it versus diluting it our country would be stronger than it’s ever been!!!

Jefferson’s Ghost part one….

(He’s not happy!!)

If Thomas Jefferson were to kick all the dirt off of his grave in this present day…and climb out he would no-doubt be very upset…especially if he were to study the time period from his death to the present day. For so many years it worked so well…just as he and other Founding Fathers had hoped…It actually worked far better than he ever imagined….but then the inevitable happened…just as he predicted it might….

To be sure…the focus of his frustration would be the fact that the citizenry (we the people) of these United States have become apathetic and complacent (and ignorant) about the basic principles that he and others had set forth (the ones that worked so well).

They have not been vigilant!!

To protect what was originally set forth.

The very system of government that he helped create is historically significant like no other government in the world before it.

What the United States did in a relatively short period of time, in terms of its stupendous rise as a world power was solely due to the fact that limited government allowed individuals to follow their dreams, work hard and succeed in the process…which in turn allowed the country to succeed!

Based on the current mode of the Federal Government and the current state of affairs of the United States, the national debt, the Government’s ever-expanding influence on individuals…upon seeing this…Jefferson would be filled with the desire to vomit!

It would sicken him no doubt as well as frustrate him that we the people have allowed this to happen.
